According to the Sacramento Bee, http://www.sacbee.com/2013/10/05/5796473/government-shutdown-also-shuts.html, and many other media outlets, Florida charter boat captains and recreational fishermen are not allowed to fish in any waters that are part of a National Park.  This includes the open ocean!  Really, has it come to this type of behavior from our administration?

Before anyone says it, this is not because Federal workers will not be there, no rangers will be around to make sure everyone is aware they cannot fish.  From the article: "Dave Fowler, who heads the park's Key Largo ranger station, told The Key West Citizen (http://bit.ly/16pzEMr ) that rangers will enforce the closure but will focus on educating violators about the situation."

It is time to trim our Federal government and move the power back to the states where it was intended to belong.
